At High Cigars we believe in the power of art as a way of life. Thus, for over 30 years we have dedicated ourselves to discover and share our passion for everything in which we find beauty, effort, commitment and enjoyment.
The journey begins with Juan Ruiz Gallery, art gallery dedicated to the promotion of contemporary art internationally. Through a long history of work and great relationship with the Cuban artistic movement, we discovered what would become another of our great passions: the habano and its culture.
From that moment we understood the art and creativity in planting, drying and fermentation of tobacco, in the precise rolling and twisting strictly done by hand, in the lighting of one end and in the sensation of savoring years of experience and continuous effort in each brushstroke of smoke that is gifted to the smoker.
High Cigars was born in Medellin, Colombia from a family who wanted to share this passion for the art of habanos. Juan and Gaby set out to create a unique meeting place for aficionados from around the world who share the passion for cigar smoking, with a commitment to creating a differentiated experience on each visit which included all of the family’s passions: habanos, art, coffee, chocolate, spirits and more. Since its opening in December 2021, High Cigars has become a staple in Medellin for those interested in living the good life.
